The Guardian ran a long piece by Gumbel this week about Covid-19 as the ultimate stress test of the Georgia State model. Essentially: while other universities are seeing big outbreaks and hastily ditching plans for in-person classes, Georgia State has seen better attendance, better grades, and fewer withdrawals and drop-outs — by relying on the student support systems it has spent the last decade developing and implementing
