INTERVIEW ON THE PRICE OF BUSINESS SHOW, MEDIA PARTNER OF THIS SITE.
Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, welcomed Kimberly Evering, aka Gal on the Go to provide another commentary in a series.
The Kimberly Evering Commentaries
My persona Gal on the Go was born 20 years ago from a bucket list. I was thinking about how the concept of bucket lists have changed since then and decided that’s what I wanted to share with you…
Our yearning for adventure grows stronger as summertime unfolds, leading us to turn to bucket lists for inspiration and motivation. However, creating and pursuing a bucket list can be daunting. I encourage you to ditch the mindset that bucket lists are limited to physical activities and travel – and highlight their potential to encompass various experiences, including culinary delights and other unconventional pursuits.
Summer beckons us to explore, grow, and create lasting memories – offering a plethora of possibilities for fulfilling our dreams and aspirations. A bucket list is a gateway to embracing the season’s spirit and embarking on enriching adventures.
While societal pressures and social media often emphasize extreme physical feats and exotic destinations, it’s vital to remember that a bucket list should reflect your unique interests and desires. By breaking free from the fear of judgment, you can create a list that resonates with your true passions.
You have the power to tailor your lists to include less physically demanding pursuits like food experiences – exploring local farmers markets and indulging in wine tastings – offering an array of gastronomic adventures that connect you to diverse cultures and leave lasting memories.
There’s also the rediscovery of your local surroundings – allowing you to explore nearby parks, hiking trails, and hidden gems within your community. When I can’t travel, I love going to my local museums, historic sites, and attending art and music festivals on weekends! They provide a fresh perspective and strengthen my connection to my community.
In the allure of summertime, your bucket list becomes a roadmap to fulfillment, personal growth, and cherished memories. Expanding your horizons beyond physical activities and travel, embracing culinary adventures, local exploration, and unique experiences in which you can embark on a journey of self-discovery that truly reflects who you are and brings you joy.
