Coldplay Concert Incident Raises Questions on Executive Conduct Policies

Recently Kevin Price, Host of the nationally syndicated Price of Business Show, interviewed attorney and HR consultant Hessam Parzivand. Parzivand is a regular on the Price of Business show.

On a recent Price of Business show, Host Kevin Price visited with attorney Hessam Parzivand.

At a Coldplay concert, Andy Byron, then-CEO of tech firm Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, its Chief People Officer, unexpectedly appeared on the stadium’s “kiss cam,” captured in an intimate moment that quickly went viral. The company’s board immediately placed both executives on leave and launched a formal investigation. Within days, Byron resigned and Cabot also stepped down. From an employment law standpoint, this incident highlights issues around workplace relationships, potential conflicts of interest, reputational risk, enforcement of codes of conduct, and ensuring fair and consistent treatment of senior-level employees—even amid highly public personal missteps.
