The 45th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley is fast approaching. Graceland is gearing up for what will likely be the largest gathering of Elvis fans in years. Elvis Week, August 9 through 17, 2022 will feature concerts, celebrity appearances, and other activities. In addition to a celebration of the King’s life and music, the Memphis week also features screenings of the new Elvis movie and viewing parties of Elvis concerts.
To commemorate the King’s birthday, Elvis Week 2022 will include special events, concerts, tributes, and tributes. There will also be celebrity appearances and performances from close friends of the King, including Jerry Schilling, the TCB Band, and Estelle Brown, the Sweet Inspirations, and Gene Chrisman. Guests will have the chance to meet with Elvis Presley’s family and friends.
One highlight of Elvis Week in Memphis is the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The event brings together over twenty tribute artists from all over the world. The winner will be announced during the festival. Other events at Elvis Week include the Candlelight Vigil. On August 15, thousands of fans will walk with candles to the Meditation Garden. It’s a moving sight to see the sea of candlelight in the sky.
